New Zealand Garden and Art Festival


Watch for an update on the 2020 Festival.

It includes:

  • A Garden and Art Expo at the Lakes in Tauriko
  • Numerous speakers and workshops
  • A garden trail split into four zones with a mix of stunning gardens and homes and numerous artists displaying their work


Wednesday 16 November Pick-ups and travel from Mahurangi to Tauranga.  Settle into our accommodation at the Colonial Court Motel 15th Ave, and dine at the Citizens Club.

For the four days of the festival, there are a number of speakers and workshops.  Where you wish to attend these, we want to make this happen for you.  Therefore, the schedule for Thursday to Saturday may vary from what is suggested below.

Wednesday 18th November  Touring the gardens of zone three, Tauranga, Oropi, Pyes Pa, Ohauiti and Welcome Bay.  Dinner at the Tauranga Game Fishing Club.

Thursday 19th November Visiting gardens in zone 4, Mount Maunganui, Papamo and surrounding districts.  Dinner at the Omokoroa Boat Club.

Friday 20th November Visiting gardens in zone two, Te Puna, Bethlehem and Tauriko.  Dinner at the Tauranga Cosmopolitan Club.

Saturday 21st November Visiting gardens in zone 1, Omokoroa, Pahoia and Katikati.

Sunday 22nd November this morning we make our way and visit gardens as we head home to Warkworth.

Cost $1550 p.p.

Our small group tours include travel, accommodation, tickets to the festival and all dinners.

Excludes any additional speaker costs not included in festival ticket prices.  At the last festival, a number of additional events were available, costing $15-$25.  Events for this year have yet to be finalised.  We are happy to book these for you at cost.  Motel room configurations are a large five bedroom house and a two bedroom unit with a number of room options.  Discuss your preferences ASAP so we can best meet your needs.  We have reserved these rooms and any additional available rooms will fill quickly.  Variations on available rooms may slightly increase the cost.
