Tours from Auckland to Matakana, New Zealand and the World

Nor East Excursions is a branding developed by Margaret Foster as a hobby, and for over 20 years, Margaret hosted personalised excursions and tours from Auckland and Orewa, predominantly for senior citizens in the Rodney District.

In 2016, Peter and Lynette purchased the goodwill of this business. The  range of small group tours has grown to include a wider range of excursions for both the local and inbound tourist markets, building on the friendly, personal, small group service that Margaret has developed and maintained.

Guided Tours

We really look forward to meeting you face to face, sharing things and places we are passionate about.

Both of us have 40 years plus in people centred industries and we are passionate about people and travel.

We love our playground, and love sharing it with you.

Lynette is from a background including retail, age care, customer service, human resource and team management.   Customer care is Lynette’s major strength.  You will know from end to end that you are in excellent hands.

Peter’s background was electrical engineering and IT development, and has spent the last 35 years in training, development, and project consultancy roles.  In all these roles, relationships, engagement with people and a firm belief in “developing lifetime friends through business” have been foremost.

NZ Tours

Lynette will deal with all bookings, logistics and travel administration, and will be your hostess on tour.  Peter will be your tour guide, co-host and driver.

We have travelled extensively and had wonderful experiences across all continents.  We love the world and all its peoples and cultures, and feel blessed to live in our little slice of paradise just north of Auckland.

We listen to your needs and tailor each small group tour to the needs of the group. The beauty of a small group tour is our ability to be flexible and responsive to your needs.

There is no one else!  Nor East Excursions is and will remain a niche travel personalised service business offering tours from Auckland. We are accountable for your fun and enjoyment.  We can’t hide behind a corporation or blame anyone else for things that go wrong.  We want you to want to recommend us to your friends.  Our business is only as good as what we deliver to you.
